Highway Technical Engineering Services LP has extensive highway and municipal construction project experience in both the public and private sector throughout Canada and the United States. We offer a full range of engineering services including design, grade construction, surveying, design review, soils testing, granular testing, asphalt testing, concrete testing, asphalt mix design, asphalt surfacing design strategies, traffic management, aggregate prospecting, aggregate supply, and project management.
Our staff includes experienced engineers, quality control managers, quality control inspectors, and CSA certified material testing technicians. We are fully equipped with mobile asphalt and aggregate laboratories. We have 3 permanent CSA testing facilities capable of a full range of asphalt and concrete testing.
Highway Technical Engineering Services LP has developed an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Quality Management System (QMS) that applies to all project activities. The QMS will demonstrate to the owner’s project supervisor that the contractor and its engineering team are committed to quality work, consistently meeting or exceeding the standards established in the project’s specifications and guidelines. This program ensures that all activities are measured, recorded and checked for compliance. Non-compliant items are dealt with in a proactive manner with full documentation as backup. The QMS has been developed for use by all employees and senior staff. We will manage and monitor the use as a means of ensuring that our services are thorough and continue to improve. The QMS can be tailored to a specific project on behalf of the contractor or can be integrated into the contractor’s own quality management program.
Our senior technical staff is comprised of professional engineers and certified engineering technologists. Prior to the commencement of a project, our laboratory supervisor ensures that all technical staff involved has the necessary training and ability to perform the test procedures related to the project. All technical staff are supplied with and made aware of updated test procedures, specifications, special provisions and pertinent project information to ensure consistency. Technical staff and test procedures are supervised and all Q.C. results are reviewed by our Project Engineer and Lab Supervisor.
Highway Technical Engineering LP offers a full service survey and design division. We have a staff of fully trained, experienced surveyors with backgrounds in highways, structures, municipal, and petroleum construction. All equipment is calibrated and certified to meet or exceed industry standards for tolerances and all staff is GPS, total station, and autocad trained. We strive for efficient and accurate production as well as concise direction for construction crews to maximize production.
We have experience in preliminary, complete, and supplementary design in both highway and municipal. Our design staff can also review existing plans, suggest, and implement changes as required during construction.
